I applied for the Insights Manager position in Stockholm. First I was asked to do an online assessment, which tested verbal and mathematical intelligence, plus a personality questionnaire. The results were above average. A few weeks later I was contacted by a recruiter from NY, USA. The conversation (ca 60 min) was good but fairly standard, I did all the talking and talked about myself. Another one or two weeks later the recruiter arranged a call for me, I was thinking it will be my future manager in Stockholm. Instead it was some junior researcher from USA again who asked me basic questions about research, although I have already 10 years experience in this area. It was a waste of time for me and I felt clearly undervalued. The funniest thing is that I was since then (ca 2 months passed) never contacted again by the recruiter or anyone else from Spotify, I assume this was due to the general organization and process of Spotify, very unprofessional.
