Spotify Summer Internship interview questions

I received an automated message from the recruiter to book the interview. The interviewer was the supervisor of the position and set situational questions like how would I design a study for Spotify. My answer was more oriented to data analysis rather than a qualitative approach. In that moment, the interviewer told me I was not a good fit for the position, although non of this was described in the job posting. I was not accepted and the email was explicit about not contacting neither Spotify nor the interviewer for the reasons, which is a shame for personal learning. PROS: The interviewer was open to share their career experience. CONS: I felt that the interviewer was in a rush, and took 10 minutes to allow me to introduce myself, that made me feel uncomfortable from the get go.

Hiring process consisted of online application, HR interview and interview with hiring manager. After applying I had a Skype interview with HR after 2 weeks to check cultural fit. The questions were behavioural; the "tell me about a situation when..."-type of questions. By the end of the interview, HR invited me to an interview with the hiring manager at Spotify HQ the upcoming week. It was an hour long interview session where we went through my resume and I was asked some role specific questions, but we mostly discussed the music industry and emerging tech trends in general. I received my offer shortly after the interview. The whole process was very fast, relaxed and professional.
