I applied online and a recruiter reached out to me via email later that day to set up a phone interview for the following week. On the day of the interview, he called and one of the first things he said was "I was to preface this call by letting you know I'm pretty sick so if I sound 'out of it' that's why"- that was the nicest thing he said during the 30 minute call. He started out by asking if I had any questions, which was definitely a change up to the flow of any interview but I rolled with it. I asked him how long he had been at Sprout and what his favorite things about the company were. He gave me one sentence. This was the least conversational interviewer I've ever had the displeasure of speaking with. At one point, he AUDIBLY SIGHED while I was speaking. This is a phone screen, he could have put his phone on mute! He seemed disinterested the entire time and treated me as a burden. He rushed me off the phone at the end of the interview and all but hung up on me. I sent him a "thank you" follow up email and got no response, and then two days later I got a canned email saying they were moving forward with other candidates. This particular recruiter has only been with Sprout for 7 months.
