I applied online. I interviewed at Stand Together (McLean, VA) in Feb 2021
Interview
The interview process began with a call with the company recruiter. I was then asked to take a call with the Supervising Manager later in the week. I was then invited back for three (3) subsequent two-person panel interviews. Each subsequent interview was scheduled for 50 minutes. These interviews were behavioral in nature.

Question 1
Tell me about a time where you had to manage difficult stakeholders.
Took 1.5 months from recruiter calls to final panel. It was over the holidays so that was partially why it was relatively long. Had recruiter calls, a call with a manager, then a 3 hour panel, broken up into 3 calls.
I interviewed at Stand Together (Washington, DC) in Oct 2020
Interview
Within 3 hours of submitting my application on their website, I received a response from a recruiter and we had an interview scheduled for 2 days later. I was very optimistic as the company is involved in all the areas that are my passion. But the interview was awkard.
I was told the phone call would take 1-hour but ended up being less than 25 minutes and I don't know if the recruiter had a bad day or not(as this was in late afternoon).
The interview felt cold and lifeless. She sounded like she had little emotion. The recruiter asked me 5 questions and 2 of them were the same. I was expecting questions about my values as most of the feedback on Glassdoor mentioned this however all 5 questions were highly specific towards my prior work experience. I felt as if the recruiter was looking at someone elses resume. She asked me a question about a role I never had. When asked why I applied to Stand Together and I mentioned it being a non-profit she kept correcting me and saying that I shoudl be aware its part of the larger Koch Institute network with overlapping responsilibities. I asked her to clarify and she repeated herself.
Otherwise the other questions were decently standard generic prior work expereince questions. Aside the fact she didn't see to know which applicant I was and her lack of personality.
The entire 20 minutes left a sour taste in my mouth. Recruiters are usually the most energetic employees so I do hope she was just having a bad day and dont want to judge the entire work atmosphere off the short interaction.
