Inconsistent and not transparent. Very vague and not sharing details of the role or pay rate. Odd questions that didn’t have to do with the role but the person themselves was nice.

Question 1
What do you like to do on the weekends to relieve stress
I applied online. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at Starbucks (Groveland, FL) in Oct 2025
Interview
Short, less than 15 minutes. Interviewer was with another person when I arrived, so I waited about 20 minutes past my scheduled meet time, but staff was friendly and even offered me a free drink. Interviewer introduced himself and talked about his experience, and then gave me a chance to do the same before we began with questions.

Question 1
Short questions that required you to give examples of experiences, such as times you disagreed with someone in charge but had to do what they said.
The Starbucks barista interview process is usually casual, conversational, and focused heavily on customer service and personality rather than coffee experience. After applying online, candidates are often contacted by a store manager for a short in-person interview at the café. The interview typically lasts 20–45 minutes and includes questions about teamwork, handling busy environments, customer service, availability, and why you want to work at Starbucks. Managers mainly look for friendly, reliable, and adaptable candidates who can work well under pressure and create positive customer interactions. Some locations may conduct a second interview, but many hire after just one meeting, followed by onboarding and barista training.
