General market awareness and macroeconomic knowledge questions like interest rates, alongside discussion of academic background, subject interests, relevant coursework, analytical skills, and how studies relate to financial markets and economic decision making.
I applied online. I interviewed at State Street in Jan 2026
Interview
The process was fairly smooth. I was first reached out through a phone call through HR, who asked simple screening questions, such as whether I was still interested in the opportunity, my availability, etc. After that initial call, it took around a week for them to invite me for an interview. The interview was laid back as it was conversational with no technical questions asked. They just want to get to know you--what you do in school, outside of school, hobbies, and interest. Two back to back interviews with senior managers with of the firm. Be sure to come prepared with a lot of questions about State Street and why this field/position.
it was very good asked fully and thoroughly about my resume all my educational qualifications projects have been asked and about my online internship.it was a good process i thoroughly enjoyed it
