After a couple of weeks received an email from an offside location asking when I would have time for on-side interviews.
The day came and I had 2 interviews in sequence. The first one was very poorly conducted by
some unexperienced HR person. She asks very uninspired questions and derailed numerous times. That went on for 25min. Mentioning how great the company is incl. benefits.
She asked me also about my salary! absolute no go!
After that I had to wait 20 min for the hiring manager coming in, no apologies for the very long waiting. He was above the VP level and surprisingly very approachable.
The interview went for 1,25h going through my CV top to bottom asking me STAR questions.
The guy described the role and he wanted to build a new team from the ground up with lots of expansion and work.
As they were also hiring at Officer level he asked me whether I would be also up for this.
He asked me even more personal question, perhaps for bonding etc., I played along.
I received no means of direct communication for follow up. The only way was the off-side "talent squad" that went just silent.
Nonetheless, I tried to reach out via LinkedIn, but nothing.
Exactly 2 weeks later I received, I received a standard rejection email.
All in All, a very poorly managed process by State Street. During the 2h interview never saw one drop of water. Absolute waste of time!
