State agencies conduct Panel Interviews. A diverse group of ppl will be on the panel (men/women and a minority at the least) . The State asks every candidate the same question (each agency is different). Be prepared to provide real world work experiences to each question. If you're asked about XXXXX u must provide detailed examples of doing that task. If you're applying for an entry level clerk job and they ask if you've ever sorted mail, one can use the example that you've sorted mail for multiple persons of a household (or office). Answer all questions like you're in 1st grade telling them *specifically* what you do/did. Every example earns an interviewing point. The interviewers will be feverishly writing down your response and will/may not make eye contact. This is not like a private sector interview.

Very cordial interview where the interviewers spent time going over my job qualifications to match the specific job I was applying for. Interview was roughly 30 minutes total for the entire process.
