I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Success Academy Charter Schools (New York, NY)
Interview
I applied online and heard back very quickly. Conducted a phone interview that asked very basic questions, about my experiences and how I conduct assessments. After the interview was over I was told I'd hear back about an in person interview. I received an email a day later asking me to come in for an in person interview.
The interview itself went fine, I was nervous because of some feedback I had heard from others about the intensity of the meetings. I met with a talent person and someone who oversees the school psychologists for the entire network. The interview consisted of basics, asking about my experiences, how do I deal with crises? How do I consult with teachers, what do my behavior plans look like. I was also asked to do a mock meeting with a parent reviewing their child's evaluation. They played the roles of the "difficult' parents who don't necessarily agree with the results of the evaluation. They were very professional and friendly, and the whole thing took about an hour. They left the room at one point, and returned 20 minutes later to inform me that they spoke to a principal of the school where I'd be placed and she wanted to offer me the position. They said that they understood that it was short notice but it was already September and I appeared to be a good fit for the school, and that I could take time to "sleep on it" and get back to me. They made an offer in terms of salary, and officially offered me the position. I took the time to review the contract and benefits before accepting.

Easy: ask about your experience, testing, and if you are okay with students being held back. This was a quick and straightforward interview. They also inform you about the school culture which sucks.

Interview
Interview process went pretty quickly and felt more informational. Had to send an example of a psychoed, answer some questions about my own experiences, and they talked about the school's philosophy, etc.

First interview was a phone interview, then invited in for an in person interview. Vanessa was nice and explained everything. She questioned a lot about what I do in my internship and my experience with counseling/consultation.
