I was reached out to by both a recruiting firm and then the actual recruiting staff for the company within days of eachother.
The first interview went great but they then told me they wanted to make the role a hybrid with security engineer. I told them I didn't have much experience in that area but I'd be happy to interview with their security engineering team.
The next call was a 5 person panel and one of the guys was literally on the phone in the middle of a move from his house. They asked me pretty simple questions related to security settings in Office 365 even though I had no experience in that side of 365. Their tone was belittling and the guy moving his furniture outside his house sounded annoyed from the start like I was wasting his time instead of the very opposite.
I never heard back. It was honestly the worst experience with an interview I have ever had. What had me dumbfounded was the fact I had all the experience and knowledge for the position I interviewed for but then they decide during that call to hybridize the role because I had "engineer" in my last title.
