The interview process was pretty standard and similar to what you get in FAANG interview loops. It started with a recruiter screen, a hiring manager call, a panel portfolio presentation, and breakouts/design exercise. I made it to the 3rd round panel presentation.
What stood out most was the lack of professionalism from the recruitment team. I was asked to provide availability for the following week, which I did, but then didn’t hear anything back. I followed up midweek since the week was already running out and received an auto-reply saying the recruiter was at an offsite and would not be responding soon. I then received a confirmation late Friday evening for an early Monday interview, which I only saw after hours.
I still made the interview, and the team I spoke with was wonderful. However, I did not move forward after the panel presentation. The recruiter followed up and said it was a difficult decision, but they had chosen another candidate. They offered to schedule a follow-up to share more context, which I appreciated, so I provided my availability. Unfortunately, I was ghosted again.
