I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Swift Transportation in Jan 2010
Interview
My interview was pretty simple, I applied online then was sent to school that was paid for by the company, upon completing school thats when the real interview and hiring process took place. it took two days, sitting in class and filling out one form after another..... there wasn't really a one on one interview.... they hired almost everyone.

Recruter calls and makes promises they don't keep just to get you hired. They told me training would last four weeks and it ran over to being 6 weeks with no home time. The trainer i was with went home and I stayed in a hotel till it was time to go on the road again. Also someone in oritation asked about vacation time and was told they'd just have to clean out the truck and go.
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Swift Transportation (Dallas, TX) in Mar 2024
Interview
Everything is done online in the pulse app and over the phone with recruiter.
All paperwork is signed online with no face to face contact until you receive a date for orientation. At orientation they will go over PowerPoints with you and get drug testing done. Afterwards they will ask when you’re available to start. Only waited a week after orientation to get out with a mentor for OTR training.
