I didn't make it far in the interview process here...Just a phone screen. Almost every interview I do I get an on-site, but it's been tough lately unfortunately. I went through a recruiter who then hooked me up with a phone screen. I thought the phone screen went well, but I think maybe they preferred some other applicants who had some SaaS experience already. Sales skills are easily transferable though even if you don't have SaaS experience. I did ask about their competitors and they were very vague on their competitors (like they didn't have specific names of start-ups). When I mentioned Darktrace, a start-up that has advertisements all over including in the Economist and where I was invited for an on-site but declined, she hadn't even heard of that. While she understood her own product, seemed to lack knowledge of competitors which I thought was odd... Interviewer was about 20 minutes late to the call, but we had a good conversation so I wouldn't dock points for just that. There was probably just more competition than I realized, so there wasn't much I could do about it even if I thought I had a pretty good phone screen.
