      Interview

I applied to Sysco, and received an email for a followup phone interview about 2 weeks later. The interview went very well, the interviewer was very personable and asked questions that built upon my previous responses.

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Sysco (Walnut, CA) in Oct 2018

      Interview

After I applied online, I was called for an HR phone interview by corporate recruiting. It was an incredibly noncommittal, rushed phone call and afterwards, I felt as though I wouldn't get through to the in-person round. However, I was notified three days afterwards to come in to the in-house location. I interviewed in person with the Director of Operations and a HR manager, and it has been hands down the most considerate and fun interview process I've ever experienced. The mixture between the behavioral questions from HR and the technical from Ops made the interview intellectually stimulating and exciting, and my answers were met with comments and stories from the interviewers, which felt like we were having a conversation and learning experience rather than an interrogation. The interview felt designed with the knowledge that an intern is new to the world of operations, and they seem to look for the desire to learn as well as the ability to conduct data analysis, rather than looking for an expert.
