I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Sysco
Interview
Phone interview from a woman at their recruiting headquarters in Texas. General sales related questions. Very impersonal. A lot of back and forth and phone tag before I was asked to come in for an interview. Met with the District Manager and Sales Manager separately. One meeting was enjoyable and a lot of back and forth, while the other was very scripted and awkward. Very impersonal and irrelevant. If you ask me, they need to redo their interview questions. They will never get genuine answers to the questions they ask.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
They said that previous sales experience wasn't completely necessary, but EVERY SINGLE question was "when selling in your current position, how do you handle A, B, C...?" Seemed a bit contradictory.
The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Sysco (Kent, WA)
Interview
First phone interview and manager interview. A week later another HR interview and other area Manager interview. Sysco might be a good company but interview process is too long and pay is below average in the market.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Sysco (Raleigh, NC) in Jan 2017
Interview
Had a brief 30 minute phone interview with a recruiter from corporate HR. She asked questions including "what are your greatest strengths and weaknesses," "describe your ideal job," and "tell me about your greatest achievement." About a week later I had a series of three hour long interviews with three different sales managers. There were thirteen candidates being interviewed by ten different managers. Each manager I interviewed with was asking questions directly from a corporate interview guide. They asked the questions and took notes. There was little variation from script aside from the exchange of war stories. Questions included "tell me one thing you did that was over and above," "name a time when you had to persuade someone to do something," and "describe a time when you made a mistake in a sales call and what did you do to overcome your mistake."

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Sysco (Harrisburg, PA) in Oct 2016
Interview
Very thorough, 3 interview process. Phone interview from corporate in Texas, 3 person interview in Harrisburg pa, coffee locally with regional and district managers. Questions were mostly behavioral and to the point. Awesome people, very welcoming and a pleasure to meet. After the final stage I was told that I would be hearing from them within two weeks. Still waiting to hear back. Fingers crossed, I truly felt that the interview went very well. Hope this helps.
