Sysco South Florida called me early on a Thursday morning. The Recruiter advised me that he wanted to move quickly with my interview process, and wanted to know if I was available the next day, Friday. He called as scheduled on Friday and went over the exact application that I had filled out via the Sysco website. Some questions were based on my previous job history, how did I find out about Sysco, and the general job description/requirements for the job.
The Recruiter advised that I would hear back from them within two to 15 days - that they move very fast, and I would most likely get a call from the DSM and discuss more about the position via a cup of coffee in my area of residence.
It has almost been one month, and did not hear back from them. No phone call, no e-mail, no letter.
I am turned off by the lack of communication on Sysco's part. I have been in the purchasing position in F&B here in my area, and would think that a simple follow up on there part would have left a positive taste in my mouth. They spent their time (and mine), why not advise me the outcome? Sorry Sysco - thumbs down on my part.
