TD Applied Machine Learning Scientist interview questions

I was contacted by a recruiter and scheduled for a technical interview within two days — no recruiter screening beforehand. The interview lasted about an hour. I was asked to solve a standard coding problem. The interviewer clearly stated that time complexity didn’t matter, only that the code should run without errors. No explanation or discussion was required — just the final working solution. While I was analyzing my approach, the recruiter was at times checking their phone, which made the experience feel a bit rushed and transactional. Overall, this style of interview seemed to emphasize producing a correct result quickly rather than deeper reasoning or optimization.
