      Senior Business Analyst Interview

      Jan 30, 2014
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      Toronto, ON
      No offer
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at TD (Toronto, ON) in Jan 2014

      Interview

My experience with interviewing has been far reaching and worldwide. I have worked as a consultant for over 15 banks and terminology does not necessarily cross countries although it is getting more common. I have never worked in Canada so I think I may have been at a disadvantage as far as the common terms used in the banks here. Also Canada is so far behind the world of working from home, and truly needs to come into the 21 century. I have had many contracts working from home very successfully. With technology the way it is - all the processes and timekeeping can be utilized to ensure work is being performed.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

The hardest question was the one that was not asked. We started a conversation about the reconciliation points required for new payments and that lead to an interesting progression. The right question asked in the first place would have led to a smoother transfer of information.

      Application

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at TD (Toronto, ON) in Jan 2024

      Interview

I got a referral and the team member contacted me by phone directly, communicating the date and location for an interview. He was very friendly in this first approach. After the first call, they send an e-mail with the details again. The interview itself took 2 hours, between questions, salary expectations, and a quick test task. I also talked to the team manager and team lead. The offer came 1 month later.
