The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at TEKsystems (San Diego, CA) in May 2018
Interview
Worst interview experience I’ve ever had in my professional career! The recruiter led me on the whole time and made me believe that I would be a good fit for the company. I love in Idaho and actually bought plane tickets to San Diego to interview. She made me believe I would get the job because she needed to hire 4-5 recruiters for the San Diego office before May 14th. So my wife and I both flew out and even apartment hunted a little the day before. When I went to interview it was an interrogation disguised as an interview. After every thoughtful and professional answer i gave, he asked me ...but why? None of my answers seemed to be good enough. And he wasn’t even the director just some tired, cranky Account Manager who seemed to hate his job. I didn’t even get to interview with the director. He told me he doesn’t feel like I want to work for Teksystems, I don’t seem like I would be “bought in”. He even tried to say relate with me because we were both African American from urban backgrounds. Although we had nothin in common. One of the last questions he asked me was How was growing up in the hood? Then he told me to use that story to get people to like me. That man has nothing in common with me and no I will not use hay story because I’m not a product of my environment. This company is awful. Don’t even bother. Especially not if you have to fly out for an interview.

It was challenging but both recruiters were supportive and kind. They really listened to your answers and ask more questions out of your answers. It seems like they want to hire people out of they personalities not experience.
