Initially started off with a phone screen, the hiring recruiter asked some very unprofessional questions such as, “what do your parents do?” and “Why did you choose the college you went to?” Honestly that’s none of your business and it doesn’t apply to being a recruiter. Told I’d be doing a panel interview in the next couple of days. Two managers interviewed me, and yet again those same unprofessional questions came up. I faked a smile and got through the hour long panel interview with flying colors. Got notified I’d be doing a shadow of the office to see what they did on a typical day. Ok cool, not an issue and makes sense. I come in for the half day and sit down with an account manager. First question out of her mouth was, yep you guessed it “What do your parents do?” I immediately wanted to walk out, but yet again I tried to take being enthusiastic. The hiring recruiter in the office didn’t even make herself known until much later in the day. She didn’t even it attention to me, and instead decided to play around with the other recruiters. Found out a few days later that I didn’t get the job offer, because “I was a little late and wasn’t engaged enough”. Yeah because showing up 20 minutes prior is being late. Teksystems is going to get hit with a lawsuit and I can’t wait for this trash company to go under.
