I applied in-person. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at TJ Maxx (Petaluma, CA) in Feb 2016
Interview
What I did not know, was that they constantly take applications for their talent pool, and are not always hiring immediately. So I submitted my application, then came back to the store to check the status, and was told that they weren't actively hiring. Then, about 5 days later, I received a call for an interview. The interview was very low-key. The assistant manager and another supervisory employee conducted it together. Within a few moments the assistant manager asked : "well, do you want the job?" I said yes, and here I am.
very easy and simple, i felt very heard and that they were interested in my work history and what i could add to the team! over all a very good interview and place to work
The TJ Maxx process is fast and straightforward, typically involving a single 20-minute interview. Managers focus on your schedule availability, multitasking abilities, and personality fit for a fast-paced retail environment.
I applied and they called about a week later and I was offered the position on the spot. This was my first job interview during COVID and it went fine. The manager that interviewed me is no longer there, but still a great place.
