I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Tails.com (London, England) in Jul 2020
Interview
5 stages:
1st stage - 45min to 1h phone call
2nd stage - 45min Video call with team leader
3rd stage - 1h written test
4th stage - 15min telephone role play
5th stage - 45min to 1h Video call with operations manager
Extensive process and took almost 1 month to get through all stages.
Role play was an interesting experience: I was called by the person carrying out the role play and I was asked if I received all details. I said that have not, they sent me an email and said they will call back. They did not say that the role play will officially start when they call back (they were straight in their role, I was not). They hang up (in the role as customer) and I did not hear back from them for a few days.
After I completed all stages, I received an email saying that they don’t think I’m suitable (fair enough but this could have been communicated at an earlier stage), I emailed back and no answer for over 7 days - I am still waiting for a response.
Due to lack of professionalism, communication and respect to their candidates I can not recommend this company.
In regards to their dog food, I will not buy their products now nor in the future after this negative experience.

Question 1
What is an example of a time I've helped someone at work.
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Tails.com (Richmond, London, England) in Oct 2025
Interview
I applied online on their website. After 2 weeks I received an email to schedule a phone interview with Dawn. I found her on LinkedIn and read some of her posts. At the start of the interview I shared that I read some of her post and now I am even more motivated to work in the company, but I could sense that she felt ashamed of what I've said.
She was very strict and cold when asking questions, so I felt even more nervous.
She asked me:
Tell me about yourself
Why tails.com ?
Tell me a time you handled a difficult customer
When have you made a change at work?
"What are your salary expectations?"
In the interview I asked about the progression pathway in the company and she was honest, expressing that it won't be any progression for me as the job I am applying is a maternity cover only. Then I asked what are the dates were for the training to have a clear picture of the situation, and she said they don't have any dates.
***Well, when I was pregnant, I definitely knew when my maternity is supposed to start and my employer was aware as well. From her answers I felt that they are not actually looking for staff, but gathering some data from people or may be trying to gain popularity. 20 days after the interview, I received an email with personalised feedback, which is good. I wish the company the best, but I won't be spending time applying there for the future, as it may be just a wast of time, as it was my first time.
