I applied through college or university. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Target in Sep 2017
Interview
Spoke with current operations managers from a Target distribution center at a campus career fair. Had an on-campus interview that lasted for 45 minutes. It started with background about myself, and had a total of four STAR "tell me about a time..." questions. I found out on the spot that I had an on-site interview the following week. The on-site process was four hours in length. First was an hour long tour of the distribution center. We were in a group of about 10 students who were applying for either the full-time role or internship. We all sat in a conference room in between having two interviews. Each interview was with two senior leaders of Target. It was basically the same format of the on-campus interview. You had to answer four STAR questions. They write down almost everything you day when answering the questions. It's not very conversation like. That was the final interview, and I have yet to hear back two weeks later.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Tell me about a time you were transparent with a manager or supervisor.
Tell me about a time you had a long-term goal and worked on it every day.
For my internship you start with an online interview answering questions into the camera. Then if they like you, you have a second interview that they send you a packet to prepare with. All of the questions are about what you do in a certain scenario. Majority are management/leadership questions.
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Target (Dallas, TX) in Mar 2025
Interview
Phone screening then a zoom meeting, consist of four questions using the STAR method. Make sure you are prepared as some of the questions are looking for specific stories and not just what would you do but what did you do to get the results. Also be ready to explain your background.

Question 1
How do you work with others who think differently?
First had phone interview. Progressed to on-site interview which was initially conducted simultaneously with another candidate. Walked the floor of the distribution center and interacted with Target employees. Then had two separate interviews which were both were one-on-one.
