I applied online. The process took 4 days. I interviewed at Target (Hadley, MA) in Mar 2012
Interview
There were two interviews, one over the phone and one that was in person. The phone interview took maybe 10 minutes and was very general stuff, such as "Why do you want to work for Target". Later that day I received a phone call saying that they wanted to schedule an in-person interview, which happened about 4 days later. Those questions were a little more specific, and there were maybe 5 of them in total.
We talked about what hours would work for me as well, and both people I talked to were courteous, although it seemed like they didn't really want to be doing this (with the generic and relatively easy questions, I don't blame them!).

Question 1
If you ring an item up for $29.99 but the customer says it was marked for $21.99, how would you handle the situation?
It was overall very brief from applying to hearing back. Was just a day of meeting with a couple managers and talking through a cashier job. Nothing too out of the ordinary for a role like this.
It was interesting. Not hard at all, straightforward, and pretty open people. It was an okay interview and what you’d typically expect. So don’t stress stress it, I mean kinda try your best
Standard process, STAR method is good to use in interviews like this. Wear nice clothing not too dressed up not too formal and be friendly. Positive environment not super high pressure
