I applied through college or university. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Target in Oct 2010
Interview
I sent my resume to Target through the career services website of my university. I was then told to apply online with Target for the job and scheduled my interview through the career services center at my school. The interview was mostly behavioral questions as to how I have handled certain situations at school and previous places of employment. One of the interviewers commented that my major was not exactly relevant to the position, which was interesting because my university's career services website listed relevant majors for the position and mine was on there. My major is business-related, but most of the other students interviewed were actual business students. I believe the interviewers were looking for people with retail experience, which is something I don't have. Although the outcome of the interview was not in my favor, it was an excellent learning experience and has made me a better interviewee.
