      Executive Team Leader Interview

      Nov 5, 2010
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      Minneapolis, MN
      No offer
      Positive experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Target (Minneapolis, MN) in Nov 2010

      Interview

Received an email from a recruiter who had seen my resume online. I responded to the email requesting an interview, and received a phone interview the next day. Very basic questions on the phone interview, and received an invitation to their interview day, to be held the following week. The interview day was just that....an interview day. I arrived where I was asked to wait with 3 other candidates until someone from corporate came down to get us. We were walked up to a "holding room", where there were other candidates as well as a couple of Target ETLs on hand to answer questions. Candidates were called one by one by their interviewer to do their interview. I had to wait almost 2 hours for my interview. If Target liked what they saw and heard, you were put back in the holding room for another interview, and after that interview, if they still liked you, you were put back in the holding room for a 3rd interview. Unfortunately, I didn't make it past the first interview, but I was also on a time schedule, which they were aware of. As far as the questions and interview format, interviews were one on one. First interview was with a STL. Beyond that, I don't know since I didn't make it that far. I was asked 5 questions, all behavioral based. Not sure if everyone had the same questions or not. I came prepared, but really didn't know what they were going to ask me. Needless to say, none of the potential answers I had written down really came in handy. Overall, I would rate the interview as fairly difficult. Behavioral based interviews are always tough. Great experience though.

I applied through college or university. I interviewed at Target (Charlotte, NC)

      Interview

It was a two step interview process. Personable and you are able to interview with not only your direct managers but theirs as well. Provides transparency into your new team. My interview was virtual because I was moving to the area, but I'm sure they do in person for local folks.
