      Software Engineer Interview

      Jul 21, 2020
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      Barcelona
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Tempus AI (Barcelona) in Apr 2020

      Interview

Totally agree with the last anonymous experience. I had fully the same experience for an offer in Barcelona. Including: "One day after the onsite, the recruiter reached out and said that the initial feedback was positive and they would be in touch the next day with more information. Four days later, the recruiter reached out asking to schedule a call to discuss "feedback and compensation". It was reiterated that the feedback was positive. I hop on the call with the recruiter to discuss compensation. No feedback about the interview was given. I was also informed that I was a top candidate and the final decision would be made the next day between me and someone else. The next day, at exactly 6:00PM an automated rejection email. The message was clearly not meant for candidates who made it past the onsite, as it read "We know that filling out an application takes time, and we appreciate your effort and interest in our organization." Furthermore, I was not given any feedback beyond the standard jargon of "After consideration, we've decided to move forward with a candidate whose qualifications better align with the needs of the position." The message had clearly been scheduled ahead of time." And totally agree with: "Overall, the interview process was extremely unprofessional. I expected the common courtesy of being rejected over the phone (especially since I had spoken to the recruiter the day before) or at least given some form of feedback as to the deciding factor of their decision. Instead, I was led on by the recruiting team and then discarded in the trash through an automated email. If you get an offer, think carefully about how they treat you through the process. It's very reflective of the organizational culture."

      Interview

30 minute call with recruiter to gauge interest and relevance followed by a take-home coding test. I passed all test cases according to the results after taking it. Did not hear a single update afterwards until I was informed 3.5 weeks later they've decided to move on to another candidate.

      Application

I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Tempus AI

      Interview

      1) Standard recruiter call that talked about my resume, Tempus work culture and the role itself 2) Online assessment - Finished assessment as soon as I received it and passed all test cases but got an automated rejected a day later. Overall, just echoing other people's experiences. Waste of time.

      Application

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Tempus AI in Jul 2022

      Interview

Quick process. Recruiter screen, hiring manager call, onsite. Onsite consisted of 2 behavioral, 1 live coding (leetcode), 1 system design. Recruiter was great throughout the process up until the very end, when some really messed up stuff happened. Recruiter called me the day literally after the onsite to tell me they were going to move forward with getting me an offer, and even shared the numbers. The following day, she called back and said sorry the timing actually isn't going to work out because they have too many people out of office and there is too much approval that needs to happen before they sent out the offer. I feel like this was just a cop out for them having either 1) sudden budget cuts or 2) going with a different candidate. I even cancelled my remaining interviews with other companies and declined another offer because of this, and now I'm having to start all over. I would not recommend wasting a damn minute of your time with this company.
