Long and thorough interview process.
Took about a month to get through the interview process. I enjoyed the different panels and meeting lots of different people. I learned a lot about the company in the process.
I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Tenstreet (Tulsa, OK) in Aug 2024
Interview
Initially, I was excited to interview for Tenstreet, everything seemed in order, but that lasted all about five minutes into my phone screening.
I gathered quickly that I was just another metric to accomplish whatever KPI the recruiter needed to achieve.
Overall the recruiter was not impolite, but being in Sales for 10 years I know what it's like when someone does not want to be on the phone with me.
Tone, Cadence, Type of Questions... All of that tells me your interest level in me - and about 5 minutes into this I knew I was wasting my time.
I don't think I'm the bee's knees here but I think I'm at least worthy of a second interview ... I was referencing case studies from y'alls website, I walked you through your service offerings, and even mentioned my perspective on how to engage with clients and expand on your main service offering, which is your, "Pre-Hire Marketing / Recruiting Services".
My hypothesis is this is not a real need currently or maybe they already had someone late stage and just needed the KPIs.
Advice - Don't waste people's time to hit recruiting metrics.

Interview
I was contacted on LinkedIn by a recruiter then I interviewed with one of the hiring managers and a member of the account management team. The interview was over an hour and a half long and they asked A LOT of questions. I felt that some of these questions caught me off quard and were somewhat difficult to answer. One of them was "what makes you mad" which I have never been asked in an interview before and it didn't necessarily seem too relevant especially since this was a first interview. I have also never had a first interview that lasted over an hour and a half. It all seemed a little too much for this stage in the interview process.
