I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Terminix (Tampa, FL) in Jan 2013
Interview
I was contacted by a Terminix Recruiter and advised of a new call center opening in the Tampa Bay area. After I submitted the application, the recruiter called me back and asked me to take the online assessment which included a series of personality, behavioral, and a call center simulation exam. I received another call from the recruiter advising me that I passed the assessment and she would like to move forward with an interview. The interview was set up for the following week on Tuesday in the afternoon. On Thursday I was offered a position.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Advise a time that I had to use my interpersonal skills when assisting another employee. Give example of how I handled an irate customer.
Give an example of when you could not help a customer. Quick answer: Never. Never advise a potential employer under any circumstance when you could not assist the customer. It's a trick question.
Telephone interview and the interviewer was late. No warning, I don't recall an apology being offered. Although the interview went well and I was prepared, Unfortunately I was not offered the position.
It was easy and it was 1 or 2 interviews they mainly focused on sales and the experience behind customer service experience. Wanted hypothetical scenarios that would happen when you interacted with a customer and wanted to see if you knew anything about bugs
Was a long process... Seems they are over employed in the hiring department so has to do 4 interviews because they have nothing else to do. I dont recommend working as a CSR as you will only get complaints all day non stop
