I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Tesco (Birmingham, England) in Apr 2018
Interview
I applied online for a job at a local Tesco Superstore near me, I had to complete a questionnaire to get through the next stage on the online application. I then had to submit photo ID and fill out other details. After 3 weeks I got a call from a manager from a different Tesco that I didn't apply for saying that he wanted me in for a 1 on 1 interview the next day which I accepted and attended. (The manager was from a Tesco Express different to the Superstore that I applied for).
The interview was pretty easy he asked me the standard questions and also told me that I would be getting £8 an hour and paid every month. After the interview I just had to fill out some health forms and then I went onto the shop floor and there a worker showed me around and got me stacking shelves, told me the process of how things worked.
Overall interview went on for an hour and a half.
The questions were mostly similar so most of my answers were quite the same.

Question 1
Name one time you provided great customer experience?
Interview was around 2.5 hours in total. Started with a group interview then 20 minutes on the shop floor shadowing a checkout colleague then finally a 1 to 1 interview with a manager.
Nice environment. Kind people. Asked the right questions and I felt I could ask any questions i had. Overall I enjoyed the experience and would recommend to other people to do an interview with them.
Very easy, just asked a few questions about my experience and my availability on time etc. what days i can work and my flexability on the dates i can do
