Some interviewers may ask you to give a short presentation about your previous scientific work. Also may ask additional questions about previous research. Not as intense as a thesis defense.

      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Texas A&M University (College Station, TX) in Aug 2011

      Interview

straight forward, and easy. the paperwork and hassle of dealing with the various levels of paperwork and staff made the process take about ten times longer than necessary. The lack of procedural knowledge of the hiring professor only made the process take that much longer, and made the whole experience that much worse.
