I was first contacted to schedule a phone interview. The phone interview lasted less than an hour. I was placed on speakerphone and questioned by a panel of 4 people. Typical interview questions related to the job and my experience.
I was then contacted for a long interview in-person. I sat in a room with a panel of 4 people and again described my experience and answered typical interview questions. I was asked about various topics, such as working with international students, crisis management, database management, creativity, etc.
Then I had to schedule a time to submit a written response to a given scenario. There was a 30 minute time-limit and I had to pick one of 4 scenarios. The scenarios were typical situations that might be encountered as a study abroad advisor and the objective is to answer in a way that reflects how you would handle the situation in real life.
It took about 20 days from the initial request to interview until the job offer.
