After applying for the position, I went online (constantly) to check if my application had been forwarded or any progress made. After about two weeks, the hiring manager called me to schedule an interview. I was so excited because I'd been applying for various jobs since February of 2013. Finally an interview! So, my husband and I move to Dallas, get settled and I prepare for the interview. I had an amazing experience in interviewing with the manager. She was kind and very easy to talk to. She even walked me to my car!
Fast forward two weeks -- no news. Two more weeks, nothing. After racking my brain, I decided to call her and I did. She basically informed me that the company wasn't looking for any more Population Health navigators and that the ones she'd already hired were going to be the only ones for the time being. She seemed very confused to why HR/Recruiters hadn't conveyed the message to me, but told me to apply for some of the other navigator positions open. I told her that I appreciated her and that I would.
Fast forward to today, and I notice that the job has been re-posted! Naturally, I felt like it was my chance again to get hired. I sent the woman I interviewed with a quick e-mail expressing my interest in the position along with an updated resume and letter of reference. I looked at my job status online again and it says, "Not selected for interview". Interesting, seeing as how I DID have an interview.
I'm not sure if the departments actually communicate with one another.
Other than the obvious confusion, my interview was pleasant and I still recommend applying with THR.
