Application
I applied through college or university. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Texas Instruments (San Antonio, TX) in May 2012
Interview
General interview, similar to those youd find anywhere else. Interested in your knowledge about the company and what they do. They were very concise with what the wanted and what they expected. They surely didnt want surprises as to duties and responsabilities. Asked questions about my general background, extracurricular activities, travel and general knowledge. Some pretty sharp reasoning questions to know a bit about your thought and analisis process.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at Texas Instruments (Dallas, TX) in Mar 2012
Interview
I connected with a colleague on LinkedIn. He sent my resume to the hiring manager and suggested I contact them. I talked a few times on the phone and then was invited to Dallas for an interview. The interview was panel style face to face. There were ten people in the room asking questions for about two hours. TI does a very good job getting you to Dallas (flight, rental car, hotel, upfront cash for meals).
