I applied online. I interviewed at The Capital Grille (Tampa, FL) in May 2016
Interview
the Interview was very simple, they were desperate to hire someone to fill the position so it was fairly quick talking about pay and scheduling. I talked to 3 different managers in one day at a booth in the restaurant.
I applied online. I interviewed at The Capital Grille (Newtown, PA) in Aug 2024
Interview
There are two rounds, the first was light conversation about responsibilities and questions about certain situations. Really nice and courteous staff, they also had lots of snacks and refreshments at the interview.
I applied in-person. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at The Capital Grille (Columbus, OH) in May 2024
Interview
It was a mass interview, kind of like a machine, so don't get overwhelmed if it feels like you are walking into something grand. Dress to impress. After working at the job for a while, my employers said that dressing in a suit really added to their perception of me before even speaking to me. I was first met at a check-in, then taken back to a table with the lead of the team I was applying for: the host lead. Once the host lead determined she liked me, she sent over the managing partner. At this location, I applied for the opening of the restaurant, so I was offered the job on the spot. I am unsure if the managers offer a job on the spot in a typical interview.
