I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at The Nature Conservancy (Chicago, IL) in Feb 2021
Interview
Verbal and written assessment was fairly easy. Nice interactions during interview process. Good benefits. Round table of questions to candidate from different staff members made it feel impersonal and less focused

Question 1
How would you report on a grant that had shifted directions?
I applied online. I interviewed at The Nature Conservancy (Arlington, VA) in May 2020
Interview
Questionaire followed by panel interview of 4 people. Asked about strengths, weaknesses and project management ability. A bit rushed when the tables got turned and I got to ask questions. Hiring manager seemed to indicate that I would get the job but it got re-scoped at the 11th hour. The only way I found out is by emailing the hiring manager. As a former TNC staff member, I found the interview process horrible. If I hadn't had internal contacts, then I would have heard nothing. Also, the HR portal to submit resumes is long and tedious. TNC needs a re-vamped portal for candidates.

Interview
15 minutes pre-screening includes basic questions such as please introduce yourself, why TNC? Why this team? Why this position? What's is your visa status? Will you be willing to relocate to Colorado?. First round interview was 30-45 minutes including behavioral questions and a mini case. Second round would be a case that you need to send back a memo/financial models. Last round would be with a team director.
