I applied online. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at The Ohio State University (Columbus, OH) in May 2019
Interview
Applied for position on-line. Received a call from OSU administrative staff to set up an interview via Skype, since the P.I. was moving here from out-of-state. After Skype interview, I received an email asking me to get a background check, I responded to the email and once the background check had cleared, I received a phone call from the admin. staff to offer the position. After a phone conversation with the P.I. to discuss roles/responsibilities and compensation a little further, I accepted the position. A formal offer letter was then emailed, which required to be signed and returned. Upon receipt of my acceptance, an orientation was scheduled and start date confirmed.

Question 1
How would you handle a set back in your research project?
It was not a typical job interview. There were no many questions asked, but rather it was l long presentation on research that was done in the lab. It seemed like they tried to sell the position to me.
Chat with the professor and other lab members. Informational interview, talk about their research and my background. Very interesting process, people were all nice and they treated me well. I really enjoyed my talk with them and ended up joining the lab.

Interview
A short ~20 minute phone interview first, then a zoom interview--one hour with the directors/associate directors, then another hour with the other research associates, then 30 minutes to complete a task.
