In-Person Interview
This is the most common and in-depth part of the interview process.
You'll typically meet with the course superintendent, head mechanic (if applicable), or a panel of interviewers.
Be prepared to answer questions about your:
Experience: Past experience in golf course maintenance, specific techniques you're familiar with, knowledge of turfgrass management.
Skills: Mechanical skills for operating and maintaining equipment, ability to prioritize tasks, attention to detail, ability to work independently and as part of a team, communication skills.
Problem-solving: How you'd handle situations like unexpected equipment breakdowns or challenges in maintaining course quality.
