I was reached out to through LinkedIn about positions that were available by the Scion Group. Being currently employed, I wasn't necessarily looking for employment but when the right opportunity knocks I'm ready and willing to go for it. One of the supervisors for the position I was being considered for reached out to me for a very in depth phone interview in which her lack of ability to provide information made the conversation awkward and one sided. Nonetheless she asked if I was available to stop in for an interview at one their properties that was located FIVE HOURS away from where I live. Without hesitation I made it work. I showed up, I was early and dressed appropriately. While there the interviewer continued the same line of question and despite my attempts to get her to share company policy, culture and outlook she just kept asking me questions that has answered that are partially shaped by the company policy and procedure. After I left the interview I followed up with a thank you message through LinkedIn since she declined to provide her email address, I thanked the individual who reached out to me initially and received responses from either of them. I tried calling the interviewer since I had her number and asked for her to return my call to receive feedback on the interview. No response weeks later. Considering my willingness and ability to make it work to appease their needs when I didn't directly apply for this job I find it highly unprofessional and inappropriate for the lack of response I received from The Scion Group. At this point even if I get an offer I would turn it down simply because of the lack of communication.
