Interview
HR reached out to me to offer me an interview and scheduled me 5 days after that email. Its not a groundbreaking problem, but that long of a wait I just got filled with anxiety during the good chunk of time, since most jobs do it as soon as possible.
Day of the interview comes, I come 30 mins early because I wanted to make sure connections and everything was fine. (This was remote) The given time was 3pm-4pm, no one showed up. I tried emailing and calling the contact attached in the offer email. I sat there for an hour and a half and no one reached out until an 5pm. A whole HOUR after.
They emailed me apologizing because they got “stuck in a meeting”, which I feel should be communicated regardless maybe not 2 hours after the scheduled appointment? Nothing was communicated after the fact that I had already sat there. I tried to brush it off because it could of been an honest mistake. They offered me another chance to reschedule and I replied right away.
They don’t reply until the next day, only to tell me that they decided to move forward with another candidate. Im absolutely disappointed in this whole interaction. I have never experienced such unprofessionalism like this. I had high hopes for this company because I saw good reviews about them and they seem to have a nice community based on their website, how they hold themselves so highly but man.

We really appreciate the feedback and I’m sorry the interview process wasn’t a great experience for you. We were in a transition period, which is no excuse, but this is not our typical interview process. We never want a candidate to feel anxiety, especially due to our delayed response. We hope this doesn’t deter you from considering Thermo Systems for future positions. Thank you again for your feedback!
