I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Thomson Reuters (Bengaluru)
Interview
It's long back, do not remember much. Expected skill and knowledge for level were tested
Neutral experience
Difficult interview
Application
I interviewed at Thomson Reuters (Ciudad de Mexico)
Interview
The interview process has 4 stages:
• 1 with HR to know about your work experience and if you have the skill to communicate in english.
• 1 HackerRank to test your coding skills, this one has 3 easy-medium level problems related to lists management.
• 1 virtual whiteboard sesion to draw and explain architectural approach of solving a requirement divided in 2 sessions: Front-End (1 hiring manager and 1 specialized front-end Tech lead) and BackEnd (1 hiring manager, 1 tech lead from backend and 1 software architect).
• 1 interview with Hiring manager
I got it until the whiteboard live session, expect in that one specific questions regarding the frontend technology the role is specificying (if Angular, expect specific questions about concepts of angular and so on, there are no coding live questions) and for the backend expect the same (.NET Questions), you need to be very good at drawing the concepts, entities and so on because the tool that is used for this interview is not as good as LucidChart tools or orthers, is more Like a Miro similar tool
I answered the questions but HR shared me feedback they wanted a rockstart in this process of architectural design.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
HackerRank was about lists related problems. Not too hard if you are have been coding in your work experience.
Whiteboard sessions was the difficult for me, they ask about Angular specific concepts like:
• What is the difference about behavior subject observable and subject observable?
• How you can interact with 3 backend microsoervices using angular?
• How you can wait for a response from 1 specific microservice if 1 service needs that response?
• What is a Pipe and what's is the difference of using it instead of using a backend function?
• Which concept is translated as a view in Angular?
And so other questions...
And from backend they expect to design database, discuss the components you suggest and so on..
.Net specific questions.. I answered in a good way the questions but they wanted a software architectural designer rockstar I think
I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Thomson Reuters (Bengaluru)
Interview
2 Rounds of interview - telephonic and panel discussion. Telephonic was on projects detail. basic technical stuff. Technical panel was advanced. Design approaches, patterns, database queries, optimizations etc. Also agile process.
