After a phone screening I was given a language test to get an overview of my skills and news judgement after which I had an hour long interview. The company took a while after the interview to get back to me, but overall the process was pretty straightforward and the atmosphere pleasant.

What news sources do you follow? What news from the market you would be covering grabbed your attention recently?
Three interviews: HR (20 mins) - future boss (45 mins) - language check (15 mins)
The one with the future manager was the toughest one, not because of the manager but because of the person assisting her at the interview, who was looking at finding incompetencies in the interviewee's knowledge

about global developments (G7 summit), also general questions about my motivations for the job
Easy, but competency based. E.g tell me about a current financial issue within the housing market? How would you continue reporting if there’s an electricity shutdown? How does your experience align with this role?
The interview was a bit all over the place, and they correct you during the interview. They do a lot of scenario testing, but using highly unlikely scenarios. The salary negotiation is not really a negotiation.
