The interview process was one of the most rigorous experiences I've ever had in a 5+ year career, but I suppose that's somewhat to be expected for a competitive company paying on the higher end of wages for this type of position. However, SIX ROUNDS of interviews and unpaid work is insane for ANYONE - and that's not even touching my disturbing experiences in the interview process. I was originally scouted by a recruiter and I believed the process was going great even leading into round SIX. The staff was great, we made genuine connections, and I was reassured over and over that I was practically a shoo-in for the job and certainly a top consideration.
Then, I get ghosted for two weeks. When the recruiter FINALLY reaches back out he tells me they've hired someone else - after reassuring me that we would discuss an offer quickly after round 6 and scheduled the call. I was BAFFLED. When I followed up over email politely asking for feedback on what happened or how to improve, I received no reply - which at MINIMUM is a courtesy, or so you would think, after investing 3+ weeks into an insane amount of interviews.
Funny part is, I saw another reviewer say the same thing about being ghosted just before the offer stage for the SAME position - when I gently brought up the subject in a later round of interviews, I was told "oh no don't worry about that we don't look at Glassdoor reviews anyway." Red flag much? I would have continued applying for positions even with the crazy process if management had shown even a little respect for my time invested or basic courtesy throughout the process, but ultimately, a poor interview experience has soured me from the company for good. What a very pretentious and inconsiderate impression to leave talented folks interested in your organization - do better.
