I applied online. The process took 7 weeks. I interviewed at Tinder (Los Angeles, CA) in Sep 2016
Interview
I applied online after seeing that they were hiring on multiple job boards in late July 2016. I also checked LinkedIn to see if I knew anyone who worked there. A former coworker happened to know the Head of Talent so I got in touch pretty easily.
I then had a phone interview with a recruiter, and then spoke with the hiring manager a week or so later. I was supposed to speak with the CMO but she was super busy so I ended up with a 3rd phone interview with the Director of Brand Management. This 3rd call seemed more like a culture fit interview which was nice, I got along with everyone and they had really detailed questions about my past experience and why I wanted to work at Tinder.
I was invited to an onsite interview in September 2016 where they flew me out (super nice of them to let me stay an extra day to explore LA). I was interviewed by two current Community team members, the Director of Community, and the CMO. Everyone was very nice, but I could tell that they took their work very seriously and could easily spot BS from a mile away. My recruiter, Devin, was super helpful and always checked in to make sure I was doing okay/needed water/etc. I had lunch with everyone after my interviews and met a few more people from marketing and engineering so I got to see a wider lens of the company.
I got an offer about a week after my onsite and I started in October. My interview process was extremely positive
