I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Tom James Company (New York, NY) in Jan 2023
Interview
I didn’t see any real red flags until the end of the interview process. I made it through four rounds of interviewing and then was asked to participate in a shadow day to see what the day to day life of OSR’s would be like. Everybody I met was very nice and answered all my questions accordingly. Everything felt like a good fit at that point, until I got to the offer stage, and they pulled a bait and switch on me. Although I had interviewed for the outside sales position available, they told me I didn’t have enough experience in direct sales, so they wanted to put me through their three month temp to perm sales development representative training program. I accepted the offer but took up another opportunity once it arose, since I didn’t appreciate the way Tom James handled my hiring.

I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Tom James Company
Interview
In person interview with the full leadership team. At the time this office had 3 members on high leadership. It was kind of a little interrogational but wasn’t bad if you have good speaking/talking skills.
I applied online. I interviewed at Tom James Company in Mar 2023
Interview
It was average. There were multiple rounds and I found that the people got colder the further along in the process you went. They asked about my experience, things I wanted in a job, my thoughts on what they did, etc.
