I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Total Quality Logistics in Jul 2014
Interview
The hiring process was very similar to what you would expect when you are applying for a full time position with any company. I was contacted by a TQL National Recruiter who believed my resume and background would make for a good fit at TQL as a Logistics Broker.
I had a phone screen with the recruiter and we went over my background and what I was looking for in a future career. I had mentioned that I was looking towards really earning a top notch salary and was really money hungry as I felt my hard work in previous jobs wasn't rewarded as I believed it should be. Most of you will find out the base salary is $35,000 which is nothing to write home about, but there was tremendous opportunity to earn 6 figures plus in under three years. This got me interested.
I moved forward in the interview process... (Took a few days to hear back)
Since I was to be working in one of the satellite offices, I didn't have any in-person interviews, all of the interviews we done over a program called Hire Vue which is a Skype interview sort of thing.
The next interview was a HireVue interview with my recruiter. She talked about the role of a Logistics Broker and wanted to know what skills I had that could translate well into the position. We also dove into a few behavioral questions ( Be Money Hungry).
The next interview was with the Hiring Manager. This is where they try to throw you. Your hiring manager will not sugar coat anything, and this is for good reason. This job is not easy and you will be tested daily. They want to weed the weaklings out, you have to be confident and very sure of yourself. Since I am at the company now I can tell you that only 3% of people interviewed will make it through to an offer at TQL. When you get to this stage be confident, be unflappable, and be prepared to really show them why you want to be there.
After my interviews I was made an official offer. This offer is all contingent on passing a background check with previous employer references and passing a drug/toxin screen. Be prepared for this. You would hate to get this far and not receive and offer because you smoked half a J last week. If you are a stoner, dont waste your time. The workload and commitment would be a difficult transition for you.

Question 1
I don't think you would be successful at TQL as a broker, why do you think you would be?

Interview
Good interview good people great environment. Went over everything that I needed to know and they offer a somewhat competitive salary. Seems like a job that could be very beneficial for someone looking to work hard and move their way up in a company.

Interview
Very straightforward 2 round process. First call with the recruiter and the second with the hiring manager. They ask you to do a little take home assignment before the 2nd interview round to explain your understanding of logistics and the service they provide.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Total Quality Logistics in Apr 2026
Interview
First was a phone call with the recruiter and then an in office visit shadowing two team members and then an interview again with the recruiter. The final interview was an in office visit again but with timed quizzes and also meeting with the hiring manager.
I shadowed two people one who was a trainee and another who was more “tenured”. The job itself looked very hard to get leads and long hours, also had a very sales floor vibe.
