The interview, much like the previous ones, had a distinct focus on Touchtunes branding. Unfortunately, it felt more like a free consultation rather than a comprehensive evaluation of my skill set and how it aligns with the requirements of the role. I found it challenging to address questions about Touchtunes branding extensively, especially considering the limited context provided.
The interview with CMO Rob left me with the impression that he was so out of touch. Rather than delving into discussions about my specific skill set and experiences, the majority of the conversation revolved around Touchtunes branding. I didn't even have the opportunity to ask questions about the role or express how my skills could contribute to the success of the team.
The focus on asking about marketing strategies that worked for my prior companies felt somewhat irrelevant, given the unique audience and context of Touchtunes. One strategy may have succeeded in a different context but may not necessarily apply to the challenges faced by Touchtunes.
The abundance of "what if" scenarios, especially those requiring imaginative insights without access to the company's data, posed a significant challenge. Questions such as "What if you were on the team, what would you do to increase branding?" and "How can we optimize our current workflow?" are difficult to address without a deeper understanding of the existing processes and data. What a waste of my 30 minutes.. and a laughable $80k base salary (now $110k at the time this review) and 2-3 days in office in 2024. Out of touch tunes
