I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at TransUnion
Interview
Recruiter was very friendly and communicative. Overall it was not the worst experience I’ve had. The recruiter was responsive and I appreciate that a lot. After the phone screen with the recruiter, I was told that I was being considered for two open roles of very similar positions. However, it was an odd experience doing the next round of phone interviews for multiple open roles back to back, just to get a rejection email a week later with no explanation. The first one was a lovely conversation with a very senior member of the company- but that hiring manager wouldn’t stop talking and we ended up having 1.25 hrs long conversation when it was scheduled for only 30 mins. It really threw off my day and I had to cut the conversation “short” so I can get back to work. This is on top of the fact that she called me 30 mins earlier than the scheduled time. The next business day I had another phone interview with two managers, and it was hard to follow them because we kept switching gear between the two managers’ questions, and it was not the best candidate experience. I wasn’t impressed at the end, after having 3 different conversations with 4 different TU members, that I was rejected with a basic canned response. I had to reach out for a clarification that I was rejected for both open roles.
We’re sorry to hear about your experience. We’ll look at ways we can improve this aspect of our interviews for the future.
