Initial contact is with someone from talent acquisition. They do the preliminary questions to see if you are right for the job and tell you what is expected of you in your role. If they think you are qualified you will then get an interview with the managing director and someone else in your department. The process can take a few months and you must take a drug test (payed by Travelers) and they will run a background check on you verifying prior employment, driving history, etc. I applied/interviewed a couple times prior to getting the job. I have worked at several insurance companies and Travelers is by far the one with the longest interview and hiring process.
The process was very welcoming. They asked a lot of personal questions as to why I want work there as well as experience that I have. There’s a screening interview and then there are about three interviews after that with different members of the team.

Question 1
They asked how we can see ourselves in the company
I applied online. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Travelers (Alpharetta, GA) in Mar 2025
Interview
The interview was with 2 managers and their manager. They were very personable and easy to talk to. I felt like the interview was like having a casual conversation. I honestly didn’t think I got the job because the interview ended on time and I wasn’t sure if something I said ruined my chance but they offered me the job the next day.
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Travelers (Charlotte, NC) in Oct 2024
Interview
Casual and loaded with typical generic interview questions one would expect when dealing with a national insurance carrier. Questions around past experiences and "How would you handle....xyz" questions. Nothing out of left field.
