I applied through an employee referral. The process took 7 weeks. I interviewed at Travelers in Nov 2018
Interview
Overall a lengthy process. 1 get-to-know-you phone call, 1 phone interview, and 3 in-person interviews. The entire interview process lasted about 1 1/2 months. Waited a week in-between interviews, and you wait about a week to know if you got the job.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
How do you handle tough agent phone calls? Describe your underwriting thought process. How would you handle this situation? Describe your thought process with this situation.
The process was very welcoming. They asked a lot of personal questions as to why I want work there as well as experience that I have. There’s a screening interview and then there are about three interviews after that with different members of the team.

I applied online. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Travelers (Alpharetta, GA) in Mar 2025
Interview
The interview was with 2 managers and their manager. They were very personable and easy to talk to. I felt like the interview was like having a casual conversation. I honestly didn’t think I got the job because the interview ended on time and I wasn’t sure if something I said ruined my chance but they offered me the job the next day.
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Travelers (Charlotte, NC) in Oct 2024
Interview
Casual and loaded with typical generic interview questions one would expect when dealing with a national insurance carrier. Questions around past experiences and "How would you handle....xyz" questions. Nothing out of left field.
